Libyan Desert Glass is a golden form of tektite that is believed to have been created from a meteorite impact 26 million years ago. This occurred over the modern day Sahara Desert in what is now western Egypt and eastern Libya.
Relics and artifacts of this naturally made glass have been discovered amongst the ruins of Ancient Egypt - like the Scarab carved in Libyan Desert Glass on King Tuts manifestation amulet.
This amazing large piece of raw Libyan Desert Glass is completely raw and intact and has been worn smooth by sand over time. It has natural surface pitting and unusual extra-terrestrial inclusions. This piece does have tiny serration-like indents at the smallest end.
